Unity of Effort is an annual community celebration recognizing and honoring military, law enforcement, first responders, and security personnel held in Sequim, Washington. It is held the second weekend in August at the Security Services Northwest headquarters.
2026 Unity of Effort
Unity of Effort returns to Sequim on Saturday, August 8, 2026.
For over 20 years, Security Services Northwest has hosted this annual community celebration to honor and recognize first responders, law enforcement, and security personnel.
Unity of Effort is free and open to the public. The festival grounds are located in front of Security Services Northwest at 250 Center Park Way, Sequim (located off Washington Street – behind OG Coffee and Jiffy Lube).
Gates open at 10:00 am.
Parking
Free parking is available on-site.
In case the parking lot fills, free overflow parking is available across the street at Key Bank (120 N Dunlap Ave.).

Military, Law Enforcement, First Responder, and Emergency Rescue
Helicopters will take to the skies starting at 10:15 am, with subsequent flights arriving every 15 minutes until the flight line reaches capacity.
One of the highlights of the event is the police K9 demonstration. (Due to K9 dogs being at festival, please leave pets at home).
Representatives from law enforcement, first responder, and military groups will have vehicles and/or displays set up. Attendees include U.S. Army 4-160 “Night Stalkers,” Clallam County Sheriff’s Office, Clallam County Fire District #3, Seattle Police Department, Sequim Police Department, Life Flight, U.S. Marine Corps, and more.
Vendor and Community Booths
In addition to the aerial displays, vendor and community group booths will be on site.
Food and Drink
Food is available to purchase from Kokopelli Grill/Coyote BBQ, Southern Nibble, SowBoys BarB.Q, Egg Roll Hut, Fogtown Coffee Bar, and Kendra’s Koncessions.
Children’s Activities
There will be plenty of kids activities at this family-fun event including bounce houses, face painting, and a toy find.
Live Music
Live music throughout the day includes the National Anthem sung by Pearle Peterson at noon, followed by performances by acoustic performer Chelesa Rose, country group Buck Ellard Band, Southern rock group Scooter Brown Band from Nashville, and classic rock/modern country music from IronHorse Band.
Rock group Hammer Head will take the stage at 6:00 pm as the opening act for our headline performer, Lita Ford!
History of Unity of Effort
Unity of Effort was started in 2000 by Joe D’Amico, president and CEO of Security Services Northwest, Inc., to recognize how our military and first responder personnel all work to protect our way of life. “Each year, we celebrate the importance of unity in our shared efforts,” said D’Amico. “Unity of Effort is our way of showing our gratitude and respect for all those who tirelessly protect and serve our communities and nation. It is a chance for the community to come together and recognize their invaluable contributions and sacrifices.”
