When is Unity of Effort?
Unity of Effort is held the second Saturday of August. The next event will be August 8, 2026, at 10 am.
Where is Unity of Effort held?
Unity of Effort is held in Sequim, Washington. The festival grounds are located on property adjacent to Security Services Northwest headquarters at 250 Center Park Way, Sequim. (This is off of Washington Street, near OG Coffee and Jiffy Lube.)
Is the event really free?
Yes! Unity of Effort is completely FREE – including admission, parking, entertainment, and all activities! Food is available to purchase from several vendors on site. Security Services Northwest has hosted this free community event for 25 years. Our sponsors help offset the cost of hosting the event.
Is this event only for first responders and military? Or can anyone attend?
Unity of Effort is free and open to the public! It is meant to honor and recognize those who serve and protect our communities.
Can I bring my dog?
Sorry, due to having K9 dogs on site, pets are not allowed at Unity of Effort.
Where can I park?
Free parking is available on-site. In case the parking lot fills, free overflow parking is available across the street at Key Bank (120 N Dunlap Ave.). Designated handicap-accessible parking is available on-site. Attendants will be present to assist and direct vehicles as needed.
What time will the helicopters arrive?
Helicopters are scheduled to start arriving at 10:15 am. However, since these crews are active responders, attendees and schedules can change last-minute and certain crews may be unable to attend or have to leave the event early.
Are there activities for children?
Yes, this is a family-friendly event with plenty of kids activities including bounce houses, face painting, and a toy find. Many of the attendees have interactive displays where families can see the equipment used and explore first responder and military vehicles.
Can I smoke at the event?
Smoking is allowed ONLY in designated areas on the festival grounds.
Is this a political fundraising event?
No, the Unity of Effort is not a political event. It is also not a fundraising event for any political party, candidate or cause. It is an annual community celebration that shows our appreciation for military, law enforcement, first responders, security personnel and veterans.
